There are always such “surprise elements”. For example, there was a candidate who did not have a very impressive resume. As a recruiter, we chose him because some things he gave in the resume, like his project ideas, etc, were quite interesting. He had some ideas regarding AI. However, in the interview, he told a good lot about his ideas of involving AI model of FFNN for much better and personalized UI and UX. Ideas were quite impressive and worth a try and thus, he got hired.
