We generally do put months on RESUME.
This is done to show the working duration.
But, to be more clear it is not so much important to mention months in your RESUME, the year is just enough to do the work.
Hiding out anything will not make out any solution, rather it will pose a problem.
Let’s suppose you joined a company in JANUARY 2016 and was not able to continue the same job and it was lost in MAY 2016.
If you even write worked for XYZ firm for a year, it would not harm.
But, also being more specific is important. So always give your best.
