There is usually no mention about using specific colours in a resume, but think of this, a recruiter opens a resume and it’s multicoloured, there is a chance that you may stand out but in the wrong light. Its shows lack direction and are often considered unprofessional. It is obviously up to a persons taste but most people will prefer plain black and white. If you are set on using colour, choose colours from a dark palette instead of light colours as the last thing you want is the interviewer having a hard time reading your resume. If you want to highlight a point or a heading, use bold or underline formatting.
In most cases where the resume is asked digitally, the print is taken in black and white, so the colour will not help you stand out and if you’ve used too light a colour it will be barely visible on the paper.
