Here’re some tips which can help you to introduce yourself in an interview :<\/p>\n

  1. Try to be concise<\/strong> in your introduction.<\/li>\n
  2. Try to fit relevant information<\/strong>\u00a0during a\u00a0<\/span>few words.<\/li>\n
  3. Practice\u00a0tons<\/strong>. Learn your intro\u00a0sort of a\u00a0<\/span>chapter of social studies (my weakest subject, hence required rote learning). I\u00a0aroused\u00a0<\/span>and rehearsed my intro\u00a0quite a\u00a0<\/span>few times, especially before the interview. Because once you enter the interview room, you tend to forget things. Consciousness<\/em> creeps in<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  4. Do not\u00a0attempt to\u00a0<\/span>crack jokes<\/strong> in an interview room, unless 1.\u00a0You’ve got\u00a0<\/span>given up all hopes of\u00a0<\/em>the work<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>or 2.\u00a0You’ll\u00a0<\/span>actually crack up good jokes<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  5. The above point\u00a0doesn’t\u00a0<\/span>mean\u00a0you can’t\u00a0<\/span> Instead,\u00a0confirm\u00a0<\/span>you are doing\u00a0<\/span>smile once<\/strong> or twice<\/strong>. This tells the interviewer\u00a0that you simply\u00a0<\/span>are confident<\/strong>\u00a0and may\u00a0<\/span>handle<\/strong> stress<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. Never reject<\/strong> your candidature<\/em>!! If an interviewer asks, “Why should I not select<\/em> you?”<\/em><\/li>\n
  7. Incorrect<\/strong>: “I am not a team player” “I have serious anger issues” “I might make wrong decisions which\u00a0could lead on\u00a0<\/span>to serious loss to the company”
    \nCorrect<\/strong>: (seem perplexed) Ummm… (Look aside for\u00a0a flash.<\/span> still\u00a0the design\u00a0<\/span>of “baffled by the situation” on your face). Then say doubtfully,\u00a0during a\u00a0<\/span>childlike manner, “Sir,\u00a0I do not\u00a0<\/span>see a reason why\u00a0you ought to\u00a0<\/span>not select me. If\u00a0there have been\u00a0<\/span>any such reason,\u00a0I might\u00a0<\/span>not have applied to your company.” If the interviewer still persists, “no, give me a reason why I should reject you”. Then say politely, “Sir\u00a0could also be\u00a0<\/span>my performance in previous levels\u00a0wasn’t\u00a0<\/span>up to the mark.\u00a0Or even\u00a0<\/span>a number of\u00a0<\/span>the answers I gave you\u00a0within the\u00a0<\/span>interview\u00a0weren’t\u00a0<\/span>ok<\/span>.” (You have just told him what he already knows.\u00a0you’re\u00a0<\/span>within the\u00a0<\/span>interview because you performed well in previous rounds. And\u00a0he’s\u00a0<\/span>already judging you for your answers\u00a0within the\u00a0<\/span>interview)<\/li>\n
  8. Work on your communication skills<\/strong>. Correct usage of grammar<\/em> with good fluency<\/em> (words\/min. Confirm\u00a0<\/span>your words are clear\u00a0once you\u00a0<\/span>speak)\u00a0also can\u00a0<\/span>make\u00a0an enormous\u00a0<\/em><\/span>impact on the interviewer.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
