To position oneself as a generalist or a specialist in a resume?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>IS IT BETTER TO POSITION AS A GENERALIST OR A SPECIALIST ON MY RESUME?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is one of the most confusing questions, that whether to put me in the <em>general block<\/em> or a <em>specialist block<\/em>, right?<\/p>\n<p>Well, see the fact is that the answer to this question depends on the factor for what type of work or for which position you are applying for.<\/p>\n<p>Suppose you are applying for a certain job that clearly specifies that the applicant must be <em>well-equipped with algorithms and data structure<\/em>. Here, you have to <strong>tailor your<\/strong> <strong>RESUME<\/strong> and put more focus on the tools, <strong>experiences<\/strong>, and <strong>skills<\/strong> you have relevant to that field of work. Here, in this case, you have to be a <strong>SPECIALIST<\/strong> one.<\/p>\n<p>Here, one must emphasize the points that a <strong>SPECIALIST<\/strong><em> strives on like more focus on your knowledge on data structure and algorithm<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>But, if you have to write a <strong>RESUME<\/strong> for getting into an <em>internship<\/em> in an organization or any college program, then mention your problem-<strong>solving skills, teamwork skills<\/strong>, etc. Focus more on the skills of a generalist. Here, put yourself as a <strong>GENERALIST<\/strong>, rather than being a <em>specialist<\/em>.
